The most notable United numbers in that list are 6, 12 and 14; the numbers of new signings Lisandro Martinez, Tyrell Malacia and Christian Eriksen.
Meanwhile, the most significant shirt change was Bruno Fernandes, who swapped 18 for his preferred no.8 following Juan Mata's departure from the club.
Some of the young talent also were rewarded with new numbers. Alejandro Garnacho and Alvaro Fernandez were given the 49 and 42 shirts respectively after donning 75 and 74 last term.
A number of these players could experience exits before the end of the window, however. Alex Telles and Dean Henderson are two who have already left the club on loan this season.
Alvaro Fernandez has moved to Preston on loan too, and some of his age-mates could join him in the loan system.
With just under a month left of the transfer window, some of these numbers could potentially change in theory.
