Christian Eriksen has signed for Manchester United on a free contract as one of three players who have joined the club so far this window.
Eriksen has joined alongside Tyrell Malacia and the pending signature of Lisandro Martinez, after Manchester United announced that they had agreed a fee with Ajax for the Argentine defender.
Eriksen has spent the last six months at Brentford after his contract at Inter Milan was terminated due to laws preventing people with heart problems from competing in professional sport in Italy.

Thankfully for Manchester United, such laws do not exist in England, and therefore after an extensive medical check and agreement on personal terms, the player put pen to paper on a 3-year deal, keeping him at the club until 2025.
Eriksen has been the talk of the town with regards to incoming transfers at the club, and the players themselves have also had their say on the player and what he could bring to the side.
“Great player! We all know of his quality,” Fred told club media. “He was at Tottenham, last season at Brentford, he's someone we know.

“He's got the ability, a great player, attacking, strikes the ball well, knows where the goal is.”
Fred continued to sing the Dane’s praises. “He'll add to the team and he'll be made very welcome in our team, at Manchester United. Together we can achieve our goals.”
He's a very experienced player, I'm sure he'll contribute a lot. He seems like a great person and will add to our group. I'm fully behind him. We want to achieve our goals together and he can add a lot to our team.”
Fred is not the only one who is excited to play alongside the player – as a player who has a talent for finding the attackers ahead of him, Anthony Elanga is excited at the prospect of playing alongside him. “Another Scandinavian in the team is special,” Elanga explained. “That makes three of us now (alongside him and Victor Lindelof) in the team and it’ll be nice to meet him and play with him.”

“He’s a special player, a really good player and I’ve played against him,” the young Swede remarked. “I had the honour to play against him last season and you could see his qualities from there. I feel like he’ll be a great contributor to the team.”
“I’m really looking forward to playing with him [Eriksen] and hopefully he’ll put some balls in behind for me to run on to. That will be nice!”
Bruno Fernandes also expressed his desire to share a locker room with the former Tottenham player, “I always learn from players who play similar positions as me,” Fernandes stated.

“Christian has been an amazing player in the past and last season when he played for Brentford.”
Eriksen and Martinez will both most likely join up with his new squad once they get back from Australia on 24 July. The club are set to play two more friendlies in Europe once the Australian part of the tour concludes against Aston Villa.
They will play Atletico Madrid in Oslo on 30 July before facing off against Rayo Vallecano on 31 July in Manchester, where the Old Trafford faithful will be able to officially debut their Erik ten Hag chant in the famed stadium.
The first official game of the season in the ground then takes place a week later, with Brighton & Hove Albion visiting during the Premier League opening weekend on 7 August.
