Anthony Martial has commented on the 6-3 thrashing of Manchester United by Manchester City on Sunday afternoon.
Anthony Martial, who had not played for the club since the 2-1 win over Liverpool at the end of August, returned to action on Sunday.
Coming on as a substitute, Martial did well to save what little there was left of Manchester United's reputation on Sunday afternoon, scoring two goals in the final 10 minutes of the fixture.

In a match where the Red Devils were well and truly put back in their place, Martial's feature and performance allowed fans to still reflect positively in context of some aspects from the embarrassing loss.
Speaking to Canal+ following the defeat, Martial admitted that despite the undesired score line, he was happy to get minutes back under his belt.
"For sure, I would have preferred not to score and win this game," the French striker said.

"But it's always good to come back on the grass and score.
"We are really frustrated. That's not what we wanted to do but this result is the one (that happened) and we are going to give everything to come back for the next game."
Much like Christian Eriksen, Martial has recognised that one of the best things to do is to just take the loss for what it is, learn from it and move on to the next fixture.
"We started the game really badly and then they were really efficient with the chances they had," he continued.

"It's really complicated but it's like that and we are going to do everything to be ready for the next match."
United's next match is against Omonia Nicosia on Thursday evening in the Europa League.
"I feel very good but, unfortunately, I was injured and could not play a lot of games this year," Martial concluded.

When asked if this performance can help launch his season from an individual perspective, the striker replied: "For sure, I've got my own goals."
