The fierce rivalry between Khabib Nurmagomedov and Conor McGregor reached boiling point during an explosive altercation involving the Irishman's teammate.
The Russian fighter aggressively confronted Artem Lobov and was pictured having his hands around his neck during UFC 223 fight week which seriously p*ssed off McGregor, who furiously stormed a press conference in Brooklyn.
McGregor attacked a bus carrying Nurmagomedov and two of his teammates. The vicious attack included objects being thrown through a window, which then shattered.
How the altercation between Nurmagomedov and Lobov started remains to be unclear, but it certainly escalated his beef with McGregor.
McGregor eventually turned himself into the New York Police Department and was held in custody as charges were filed. He was later arrested alongside teammate Cian Cowley and charged with three counts of assault and one count of criminal mischief.
They were both released with a bail of $50,000 and $25,000, respectively.
Nurmagomedov submitted McGregor inside the Octagon a few months after that incident.
Of course, they have a long-standing rivalry and one of the first moments of their feud can be traced back to an intense run-in at UFC 205 in November 2016.
Nurmagomedov and McGregor clashed backstage at Madison Square Garden as both men were separated by security.
'The Notorious' spoke angrily to 'The Eagle' who fired back before gesturing to him. The scuffle was eventually broken up as both fighters walked away from the incident.
A rematch between Nurmagomedov and McGregor has been mooted following the ex-champ-champ's triumphant UFC comeback against Donald Cerrone.
Khabib has teased that he could fight McGregor again, despite 'The Notorious' retiring from MMA in June.
Nurmagomedov, meanwhile, has since defended his UFC lightweight title against Dustin Poirier and is set to face Justin Gaethje at UFC 254 on October 24.
