Newly-crowned French Open champion Carlos Alcaraz has previously settled the tennis GOAT debate.
On Sunday, Alcaraz produced a stunning comeback to win the 2025 French Open title by beating world number one Jannik Sinner.
In front of a jubilant crowd inside Court Philippe Chatrier, the 22-year-old Spaniard saved three championship points in the fourth set to win 4-6, 6-7 (4-7), 6-4, 7-6 (7-3), 7-6 (10-2) in five hours and 29 minutes.

Looking ahead, both Alcaraz and Sinner have been tipped as the successors to the original 'Big Three' made up of Novak Djokovic, Rafael Nadal and Roger Federer.
Both youngsters still have a long way to go before they get near the number of Grand Slam titles that Djokovic (24), Nadal (22), and Federer (20) managed during their careers.
Tennis fans are often embroiled in the age-old GOAT debate, with Djokovic, Nadal and Federer the main contenders to be considered as the greatest player of all time.

Back in July 2024, Alcaraz was put on the spot to name the sport's best ever player.
He said to the ATP Tour: "As far as numbers, it's Novak Djokovic without a doubt. The other two, [Roger] Federer and Rafa [Nadal]. For me, they're tops."
Prior to retiring from the sport last year, Nadal agreed with Alcaraz that Djokovic is the GOAT.

He said to AS: "He’s a player who has managed to maintain a very high level and improve every year. The numbers show he’s the best, which means his tennis has also been the best.
"And he’s been the most injury-free, which allowed him to maintain his physical, mental, and tennis levels longer than anyone. That’s why he’s the best, and he’s earned it."
Despite naming Djokovic as the GOAT, Nadal said Federer was his biggest rival.
The King of Clay added: "I’ve played Djokovic more than anyone else, but for me, my biggest rival was Federer.

"When I came onto the circuit, Federer was already there, and he was the first. In the prime years of my career, it was Roger and Novak. But in those early years, which are so impactful, it was always Roger."
