Snooker legend Ronnie O’Sullivan’s ex-fiancee Laila Rouass has broken her silence after the pair’s split.
This week, O’Sullivan suffered a shock defeat in the first round of the English Open in Brentwood after losing to China’s He Guoqiang.
On Thursday, it was claimed that O’Sullivan and Rouass have split, ending their 12-year relationship.

As reported by The Sun, a source said: “Ronnie and Laila really threw themselves back into their relationship after the split a couple of years ago.
“He kept posting pics of them online at home together and saying romantic things on special occasions, but that’s all come to a halt. They’ve tried so hard but they just can’t make it work.”
On Friday, Rouass returned to social media after her split with O’Sullivan, writing a five-word message on Instagram. As reported by The Mirror, it read: “Back on the Insta. #freepalestine.”

The pair split back in 2022 but patched things up quickly to get back together.
At the time, Rouass said: “We found our way back. We just worked it out. If you can sit down and say how you feel and what you want – when you get older that is much easier to say too.”
When asked about Rouass last year, the snooker superstar said: “She's great. I love her. She's great company and I love being around her. She's very supportive. I have to behave myself. I know when to go, 'Alright, you’re in charge'. But she's also really good at going, 'Listen, you've got a busy life, you've got a lot to do, just get on with it'. Now it feels a lot better – everyone's just in a better place. I just want to see her and her daughter happy, and her family, who are like my family, happy.”

O’Sullivan was downbeat after his exit from the English Open, he said: “I'm awful, it's embarrassing. I miss so many balls. I can't get away from it, poor, but there's nothing I can do about it. I've been missing balls for the last four or five years and every now and then I'll miss a few less, maybe, and get a couple of results.
“I'm absolutely useless. Forget about the Worlds. I'm not even bothered to be honest with you, if I'm going to play rubbish I might as well play left-handed. Play left-handed and enjoy it, but be useless, or play right-handed, be useless and not enjoy it.”
