Viewers spot awkward moment between Tom Cruise and female fan during Olympic Games closing ceremony

Tom Cruise had an awkward exchange with a spectator.

Olympic viewers spotted an extremely awkward moment between Tom Cruise and a female fan during the last night's closing ceremony.

The Paris Games ended in style on Sunday as Olympic officials delivered a spectacular closing ceremony that featured a star-studded cast.

The Red Hot Chilli Peppers, Billie Eilish, Snoop Dogg and Dr Dre all performed as Paris officially handed Olympic hosting duties to Los Angeles for the event in 2028.

The musicians performed the live set in Venice Beach as Cruise was also part of the handover as he produced a Mission Impossible-esque cameo inside the Stade de France.

Gymnast Simone Biles, who won three gold medals at the 2024 Olympics, joined Los Angeles major Karen Bass to accept the Olympic flag before the US national anthem was performed by singer H.E.R., who stayed on stage to play in the Hollywood actor as he abseiled his way into the stadium.

But once he touched ground, Cruise was approached by a female fan, who planted not one but two kisses.

The American tried to weave his way past the crowd to get onto his motorbike, where he drove out of the stadium.

Needless to say, the interaction between Cruise and the spectator sent social media wild.

One X user wrote: "Tom Cruise being dropped in from the top of the arena to then run through the crowd like he just competed and won gold was easily the best moment of the entire Paris Olympics for me."

A second said: "Damn she just risked it all."

A third added: "She had her shot, and she went for it. Olympian, innit."

A fourth commented: "Tom Cruise is moving smooth like this a film scene."

Another raged: "This is really not funny at all, people need to learn to keep their hands off celebrities."
