Raygun breaks silence on Jimmy Fallon sketch after being brutally mocked for viral Olympic Games performance

The Australian breakdancer has spoken out about the viral sketch.

Australian Olympic breakdancer Raygun has finally spoken out about the viral sketch mocking her on the Jimmy Fallon show.

Raygun was one of the biggest names of the Paris 2024 Olympic Games this summer, as both her style and her breakdancing skills led to her going viral online.

Days after her being eliminated from the Olympic Games, American talk show host Fallon, alongside comedian Rachel Dratch, appeared to mock the 35-year-old during the opening monologue for the show.

And now, Raygun has finally spoken out about the sketch and how it has made her feel.

Speaking to Australian talk show The Project about Fallon, Raygun said: "I don't know whether to, like, hug him or yell at him! Because what a platform he ended up giving me like, honestly!

"I haven't actually seen the sketch 'cause I don't think I'm in a place yet to watch it, but I will watch it at some point. And, you know, a few different people have kind of explained it to me and given me different takes on it.

"But...I'm still in the process of being able to describe how I feel about all this stuff because it kind of feels like a really weird dream that I've been having that I'm gonna wake up from at any moment. Like, what is life right now?!"

Raygun, real name Rachael Gunn, confessed that she had been receiving mental health support following the media reaction to her performance at the Games, and said she has declined several TV offers as she looks to take a step away from the spotlight.

And as she looks to distance herself from the Olympic Games event, she admitted that she is yet to watch back any of the footage from her time in Paris.

"I haven't watched it back. That's not unusual for me, though. I'm not great at watching back my battles," she shared.

"It's still gonna take some time. I think I've seen little bits and pieces, but, yeah, I'll watch it eventually.

"I don't think I'll be competing for a while. Not really wanting to be in the spotlight, breaking, competing. But, you know, it's been nice."
