An Olympic diver was given a score of ZERO after suffering a painful mid-air collision.
Team USA's Alison Gibson shocked Olympic viewers with her dive during the women's 3m springboard preliminary round.
As she dived off the platform, her feet hit with the springboard, causing her 'pain' once she landed in the pool.
The American cut a dejected figure as she left the pool as she checked both her feet for any potential damage.

Needless to say, Gibson finished last out of the 28 athletes.
Olympic viewers were worried for her wellbeing as they were glad she was left unscathed after the mid-air collision.

One X user wrote: "Oohh, that's not a good moment. Hope she was okay."
A second tweeted: "Surprised this doesn’t happen more often, even at their level, in the other events some were skimming platforms on the way down, so dangerous."
A third added: "Omg. Glad she’s okay and was able to walk out."
Speaking after the event, Gibson said: "I hit my heels and my feet on the board. I have cuts along the sides. And then I bruised my right heel pretty good, but I was determined to keep going.

"I definitely was in pain. But one thing that I say is I hope that anyone who is watching just was able to see what it looks like to get up and keep going even when things don't go the way you want them to. It's about the fight."
The 25-year-old added: "Obviously, today didn't go the way I wanted it to. But I think you can learn and grow from every experience, and I truly hope that the next generation of athletes recognise that even in the worst moments you can keep fighting, you can walk courageously."
