French Skier Yannick Bertrand Takes Agonising Slalom Gate To Groin, The Commentary Is Incredible

The 2022 Winter Olympics in Beijing are well underway, which means that painful and downright chaotic incident involving French skier Yannick Bertrand has resurfaced online.

Back in 2015, alpine skier Bertrand was competing in the World Cup super-G race in Kvitfjell, Norway.

Things were going smoothly for the 35-year-old. He was on the way to recording a respectable time but suddently, with 56 seconds on the clock, the Frenchman suffered a hefty blow to the private parts after smashing into a slalom gate at full speed.

This, my friends, is an agonising watch from start to finish, although the clip is made all the better by the outstanding commentary from above. "OHH MONSIEUR... that guy needs a hug!"

There's so much to unpack in that clip.

After colliding with the gate at full whack, Bertrand can be heard screaming in pain before the commentator begins to try and describe what viewers at home have just witnessed.

Bertand's knees collapse inwards. He puts his hands over his groin before letting out what fans have described as "the funniest sound a human has ever made".

Bertrand competed at the 2006 Winter Olympics and enjoyed a great career in the sport - it's just a shame this happened and in turn, created one of the most memorable moments in skiing history.

Blimey, that must have hurt.
