Fans call out NFL officials for what they did after Travis Kelce incident during playoffs match as Taylor Swift watches on

Kelce's Kansas City Chiefs defeated Buffalo Bills 32-29 to reach Super Bowl LIX.

Fans have called out NFL officials after seeing what Travis Kelce did during the AFC Championship final between the Kansas City Chiefs and Buffalo Bills.

Chiefs kept their hopes of becoming the first NFL team in history to win three consecutive Super Bowls alive by defeating the Bills 32-29.

They were a point down heading into the fourth and final quarter, but quarterback Patrick Mahomes' rushing touchdown and a 35-yard field goal from Harrison Butker secured a dramatic win.

The Chiefs will now take on Philadelphia Eagles in Super Bowl LIX next month after they defeated Washington Commanders by 55-23.

Unlike in their playoff victory over Houston Texans last week, Kelce wasn't a decisive difference-maker at the Arrowhead Stadium - but was involved in a notable incident that went unpunished by NFL officials.

Some fans claimed that Kelce was taunting Bills safety Damar Hamlin after a play in the second quarter, with the officials deciding not to throw a flag.

They instead threw a flag in favour of the Chiefs when Bills defensive tackle Jordan Phillips hit Kelce on the helmet.

But while fans didn't argue with the flag call on Phillips for retaliation, some suggested that the flag should have been thrown before that incident.

Taking to social media, one said: "Travis Kelce has a special ability in the NFL where he is the only person who is allowed to taunt their opponent and not get a flag called."

A second claimed: "Of course no taunting on Kelce."

A third wrote: "Kelce taunting and refs allow it. Gotcha."

However, others had a different view, with one writing: "Talking is allowed. Helmet hits are not."

A second said: "Can't retaliate. It's the type of thing teams that aren't ready for the big stage do."

And a third added: "You think guys don't say stuff to each other all the time? Hit a guy and it is a flag."

In attendance at the Arrowhead Stadium was Kelce's partner Taylor Swift, who joined the tight end on the field of play at full-time to celebrate Chiefs' AFC Championship success.

It is not yet known whether she will be able to attend Super Bowl LIX at the Caesar's Superdrome in New Orleans, having been present in Las Vegas last year to watch Kelce and the Chiefs defeat the San Francisco 49ers 25-22 in a tightly-contested match last year.
