After calling time on the most decorated career in NFL history, Tom Brady has taken up a lucrative role as a commentator for Fox Sports.
And the proceedings the former New England Patriots and Tampa Bay Buccaneers quarterback is earning from his TV analyst gig is apparently allowing the 47-year-old to maintain an expensive way of travelling.
Widely regarded as the greatest NFL player of all time, Brady led the Patriots to six Super Bowl triumphs before leaving to England to join the Bucs in 2019, where he won another ring before retiring in 2022.

Shortly after hanging up his cleats, the legendary No.12 signed a 10-year broadcasting deal with Fox reportedly worth a staggering $375 million, making him the highest-paid sports commentator in history.
And it's just as well, because the private jet Brady was seen boarding in a recent post to his YouTube channel is said to be setting the gridiron megastar back a pretty penny.
As his new role as an analyst requires a lot of long-distance travel to cover games all across the United States, Brady splashed $20 million on a Gulfstream G550 private jet to allow him to travel in maximum comfort and luxury.

The plush plane can seat up to 19 people, meaning Brady can take friends and family with him when he files. And the jet's seats can fold down into double beds, allowing the in-demand analyst to catch up on some rest when he's above the clouds.
It also has a private bathroom and living room, as well as a kitchen where the quarterback's flight staff can prepare his meals.
And all that luxury comes at a cost beyond Brady's initial outlay on the jet itself.

According to LibertyJet.com: "The total annual budget for flying a Gulfstream G550 private jet 200 hours per year is approximately $1,665,068 or $2,588,136 for flying 400 hours per year.
"The maximum speed of the Gulfstream G550 is 670 mph, but with slower climb, cruise and descending speeds it is more likely to average 536 mph which would equate to an average cost per mile of approximately $15.53 at 200 hours per year. If you fly 400 hours per year, you can spread the total fixed costs over more flight hours which reduces your cost per mile to $12.07."
