
Steph Curry is one of the coolest customers in the NBA. But the Golden State Warriors star has admitted he was 'caught off guard' by a comment LeBron James made on the court last summer.
A four-time NBA champion who has twice been named the league's Most Valuable Player, Curry is – alongside James – one of the defining players of his era.
He is also regarded as the greatest shooter of all time. The 37-year-old point guard has shaped the way the game is player in the modern NBA thanks to his otherworldly prowess from behind the three-point line.

Curry and James were rivals for many years, with Curry's Warriors and James' Cleveland Cavaliers facing off in four straight NBA finals between 2015 and 2018, with Golden State coming out on top on three occasions.
But this past summer, the iconic duo were teammates on the US Olympic team that won the gold medal in the basketball tournament at the Paris Games.
Speaking during an appearance on the Late Show with Stephen Colbert last year, Curry detailed on moment after a game when a a comment James made while he was doing on on-court interview threw him off his stride.

"After we played Puerto Rico in the pool play round, I was doing an interview with one of the guys from the Bay area. As we were talking, he was asking me 'What's wrong with your shot? Are you worried about it?' Yada yada.
"Positive self-talk kicked came out. I was like, 'Nah, we're winning. I know it's gonna come. I know a flurry is coming.'

"As soon as I said it, Bron walks right behind me. And he was like, 'Damn right it is,' with his baritone voice.

"At first it took me off guard," Curry continued as the audience laughed. "I still had to get used to liking that guy, because of all our battles. And now we're teammates and friends, it was definitely a confidence boost.
With the interview taking place prior to the start of the 2024-25 NBA season, Curry was asked whether his newfound friendship with the Lakers superstar would get in the way.
"Not at all," he replied with a smile.
The Warriors are currently sixth on the Western Conference as the regular season approaches its crescendo, with a record of 46-32, two games back from the third-placed Lakers.
