Shortly after the news broke, Jordan spoke out to address the ban, and his response showed exactly how he felt about the incident.
Jordan, who is a keen golfer, was playing a round at the prestigious La Gorce Country Club back in 2012, but found himself in bother with officials after he failed to follow the club's strict dress code.
According to the L.A. Times, the NBA great was playing while wearing a pair of cargo shorts, which were strictly forbidden, leading to him being approached on the 11th hole and asked to return to the clubhouse to change.

Jordan refused to do so, and therefore was told to leave the premises and was later banned.
Reacting to the incident, the basketball great told ESPN in a text: "I’ve been there many times and no one told me a thing. Then all of a sudden they come to me on the 11th hole and say I can’t wear cargo shorts. Wow! The round is almost over and you want me to buy shorts now? Yeah, right!!”
As for the ban, MJ said: “No problem!!”

Jordan's rep also released the a statement at the time, it read: "Michael Jordan did wear cargo pants. He had been there many times before and had worn cargo pants previously, and had never been made aware that he was violating any dress code.
"This time, he was made aware of the violation on the 12th hole, and at that point he did refuse to interrupt his game, and return to the clubhouse and change.
"We were not aware that he is not allowed to return to La Gorce. I guess it's their loss - as MJ is a great golfer, and a great guest."
