Michael Jordan named the five most underrated NBA players of his era.

Michael Jordan once named the FIVE most underrated NBA players of his era.

Jordan enjoyed a legendary career in the NBA as he won an impressive six championships during his iconic spell at Chicago Bulls.

He rubbed shoulders with some great teammates including Dennis Rodman, Steve Kerr and Horace Grant.

Not to mention Scottie Pippen, who was by Jordan's side during each of his NBA championship triumphs with the Bulls.

And, according to online publisher Finest Magazine, Pippen is among the most underrated NBA players of the basketball legend's era.

But Pippen didn't like playing with 'MJ', claiming he was a 'horrible player' who was 'horrible to play with'.

"Our game is a team game, and one player can't do it," he explained.

"I’ve seen Michael Jordan play before I came to play with the Bulls. You guys have seen him play. He was a horrible player. He was horrible to play with. It was all 1-on-1, shooting bad shots. And all of a sudden, we become a team, and we start winning. Everybody forgot who he was."

Jordan also named four other players who he thought were underrated in his era.

He picked Tom Gugliotta, Bobby Phills, Mookie Blaylock and Mitch Richmond.

Gugliotta failed to win an NBA championship in his career but enjoyed spells at Washington Bullets, Golden State Warriors, Minnesota Timberwolves, Phoenix Suns, Utah Jazz, Boston Celtics and Atlanta Hawks.

Phills also went the duration of his career without winning an NBA championship as he played for Cleveland Cavaliers and Charlotte Hornets.

Blaylock, who was rated among the best defensive stoppers in the game, spent time at New Jersey Nets, Atlanta Hawks and Golden State Warriors during his career in the NBA.

Richmond has one NBA championship to his name, winning the title at Los Angeles Lakers.
