There can be no doubt that Michael Jordan was and still is the greatest basketball player to ever grace the court, but Joe Rogan was not impressed by something the iconic athlete once said.
During his illustrious playing career, Jordan won six NBA Championships with the Chicago Bulls, was named NBA Finals MVP six times, and made it into the NBA All-Stars team an astounding 14 times. If that wasn't enough, he also bagged two Olympic gold medals with the USA, too.
Put simply, everything he did on the basketball court was perfection, but off it, he made one big mistake that Joe Rogan couldn't let lie.
On the Joe Rogan Experience podcast episode 1265, the host was discussing MJ's induction to the Basketball Hall of Fame back in 2009, and picked up on one major omission from Jordan's speech when it came to the people he was thankful for.

"Do you remember when he was inducted into the Hall of Fame and he was talking about writers? He wasn't thanking his coaches and his teammates and [saying] it's been an amazing ride and I feel so blessed and fortunate.
"No, he’s still like f*** you; remember when you said that [about me], f*** you," Rogan recalled.
Rogan's guest on the show, Andrew Schulz, offered an explanation, pointing out, "That happens when you don’t derive joy from what you do. You know, you drive joy from that outcome. You’re obsessed with the outcome."

That wasn't enough to appease Rogan, though, who suggested that kind of mentality was the mindset of a "psychopath."
He added: "Something about the best athletes, they all have a f***ing self-loathing. They also have an ego and then they have this anger towards the competition... It’s not that he doesn’t believe he’s great, he wants to confirm it constantly."
Whatever his mentality, it clearly worked when it came to achieving success. Jordan is just about untouchable in terms of NBA greats, and is arguably the greatest athlete of all time.

One thing that's not up for debate is Jordan's status as the highest-paid athlete of all time, with a whopping £3.75 billion earned throughout his career.
