Floyd Mayweather claims he is working on a deal to buy his first sports team for $2 billion.
The boxing legend earned the 'Money' nickname during his legendary career after amassing a net worth of $450 million.
Mayweather's got a shrewd mind for business, recently returning to the ring for several exhibition bouts against social media stars.

In November, he defeated YouTuber Deji despite being given a black eye in the opening few rounds.
On top of that, he's made investments in his own promotion company and real estate. Mayweather even owns One Vanderbilt in Manhattan, one of the tallest buildings in New York City.
He's since outlined his plans to enter the wider sporting world with a mammoth purchase. Check out the 45-year-old discussing the whole thing in an interview below:
Mayweather disclosed the team he's attempting to purchase is an NBA franchise with business partner Brent Johnson.

He explained: "I’ve been working on buying a NBA team outright. One of my other business partners, Brent Johnson, he’s here.
"So we’ve been working on the NBA team for a while now. It’s kinda, it’s rough."
When asked which franchise in particular, Mayweather kept his options open.
Mayweather continued: "It could be the Vegas franchise, it could be the Seattle franchise, or I could be buying a franchise that's already up and running. The first offer, we offered them a little bit over $2 billion for majority ownership.

"Do I have it? Absolutely I have it. I have it, but it didn’t happen overnight. It didn’t happen overnight. It’s a lot when you have so many different businesses all around the world. It’s a lot."
Las Vegas and Seattle currently don't have a team in the NBA.
Both cities are candidates for expansion, but it's likely 'years away' given how keen the NBA are to agree new television rights deals.

Mayweather claimed earlier this year he was keen to run it back with UFC superstar and longtime rival Conor McGregor.
The duo squared off in a lucrative interpromotional bout back in 2017, which was won by Mayweather.
McGregor responded on social media with an image of their first fight captioned: "Not interested."
