Zion Clark, an MMA fighter with no legs, wins first fight after sensational takedown

Clark went viral earlier this week.

Zion Clark, a fighter born with no legs, has won his MMA debut via unanimous decision.

The 25-year-old went viral earlier this week after revealing he would be facing Eugene Murray at Gladiator Challenge: Seasons Beatings in San Diego.

Clark has no legs due to caudal regression syndrome, a condition which prevents the development of the lower end of the spine.

It didn't stop him from putting in a performance worthy of winning any fight on Saturday night. Check out the footage below.

Despite the clear size disadvantage, Clark managed to use his athleticism to evade Murray and his wrestling skill to take him down to the mat.

The crowd, made up of Clark's family and friends, cheered his name as he dominated Murray for three rounds.

Fans online have reacted to the footage and they think Clark has proven to be one of the most inspirational stories of the year.

One person said: "Absolute legend. What a takedown!"

A second commented: "What an achievement."

Someone tweeted: "Anything is possible if you put your mind to it."

While another stated: "That's an impressive win for his debut."

Clark was a wrestler at high school in Ohio and nearly made the state high school championships. After that, he broke a Guinness World Record for the fastest 20-metre run on two hands.

His ultimate goal is to compete at the 2024 Olympics and Paralympic Games. He's made history all his life, so you'd back him to do it.

Clark previously said: "People would make fun of me because I didn't have legs.

"The best way to deal with haters is to use the hate to lift yourself up. The haters are your biggest fans – use that to your advantage.

"School wasn't the greatest time for me, but by the time I was a senior I was able to turn it around and get into college and do everything I wanted to do."

Clark is also an avid skateboarder and motivational speaker. He has a tattoo across his back which reads 'no excuses', a perfect summary of his life so far.
