UFC fans are fuming after Dana White announced an underwhelming main event for UFC 300.
With UFC 300 being a milestone event for the MMA organisation, fans were hoping to see a mouthwatering match-up between two big names in the main fight.
UFC 200 had a stacked card that included WWE superstar Brock Lesnar, but fans have been left underwhelmed by the eagerly anticipated UFC 300 announcement.

Early on Sunday morning, White revealed that defending light heavyweight champion Alex Pereira will take on Jamahal Hill in the main event in Paradise, Nevada on April 13.
32-year-old Hill is the former light heavyweight champion, but he vacated his belt last year when he tore his achilles.
Brazilian fighter Pereira, 36, is the first fighter to become champion of both the middleweight and light heavyweight divisions in UFC.

Seven of his nine MMA wins have come by knockout, while Hill has delivered four knockouts in his last five bouts.
In an announcement video posted on X, White said: "I can guarantee that this fight is going to be an absolute drag-out war between two massive world champions, that are also two of the nastiest fighters on the roster."
However, fans weren't so enthusiastic.
"That’s not main event 300 worthy Dana," one commented, while another disappointed fans said: "This... kinda sucks."

Reflecting on past UFC main events, one fan said: "This is such a letdown considering what we got at UFC 100 and UFC 200," before another cut straight to the point: "I speak for all UFC fans when I say UFC 300 is average as f***."
In an interview after the announcement, Hill admitted his surprise at being asked to headline UFC 300.
"Everybody wants to be on 300, but realistically, it didn't really come on my radar, it didn't really happen until yesterday, I'm not even going to lie, yesterday," he said.
