A UFC fighter has ruthlessly been removed from the roster just 48 hours after a victory inside the famed Octagon.
The promotion recently let go of SEVEN fighters including a fighter that broke Jon Jones' record before having a UFC contest.
A former UFC title challenger and a ranked fighter were among the other casualties as Dana White looks to trim his catalogue of fighters.

And White has continued his UFC purge by releasing Alexander Romanov just 48 hours after his unanimous decision victory over Rodrigo Nascimento at last weekend's UFC Fight Night in Edmonton, Alberta.
Romanov's clash against Nascimento was the final fight on his existing UFC contract, with the UFC allowing him to walk away from the company upon the expiration of his deal.
He left the event with a victory but failed to land a new UFC contract.
Romanov, 33, built his professional career in his homeland of Moldova at Eagles FC, where he registered nine victories, winning the EFC Heavyweight Championship.

The UFC came calling as the Moldovan debuted with the MMA leaders in 2020, beating Roque Martinez at UFC Fight Night: Waterson vs. Hill.
He secured four more victories, including a keylock submission victory over Chase Sherman, before running into Marcin Tybura, who won their bout via majority decision.
Romanov then lost to top contender Alexander Volkov before returning to the win column against Blagoy Ivanov.
However, he succumbed to Jailton Almeida and then beat Nascimento before being released from the UFC.

Romanov had hoped to receive a new UFC deal but White clearly has other plans for the heavyweight division.
Of course, Jon Jones rules the division as he's set to defend his title against Stipe Miocic at this month's UFC 309.
Tom Aspinall, who holds an interim version of the UFC heavyweight championship, is the back-up for the New York City headliner.
