Paddy Pimblett snubs Conor McGregor when naming his MMA 'Mount Rushmore' ahead of UFC 304

Paddy Pimblett snubs Conor McGregor when naming his MMA 'Mount Rushmore' ahead of UFC 304

Paddy Pimblett named the four greatest MMA fighters in history.

Paddy Pimblett has revealed his MMA Mount Rushmore and he's left out some huge names including UFC superstar Conor McGregor.

'The Baddy' returns to action at UFC 304 where he takes on veteran Bobby Green, who has officially changed his name ahead of their lightweight clash.

The 29-year-old aims to record the sixth win of his UFC career, having beaten MMA legend Tony Ferguson in his last appearance.

He'll be hoping to create his own legendary career and he's on his way to doing so after picking up five big wins inside the famed Octagon.

But who does Pimblett think is among the greatest MMA fighters in history?

Well, we posed the question to the lightweight star, and he didn't disappoint.

He snubbed McGregor, who became the first UFC fighter to hold UFC championships in two weight classes simultaneously.

Pimblett, however, opted for Jon Jones, George St-Pierre and Fedor Emelianenko, who never fought in the UFC.

"Gotta go Jon Jones. Goes without saying. GSP (Georges St-Pierre), he has to be on there. I’d have Fedor Emelianenko just because of his run. What he done was unbelievable," he told online-slots-real-money.com.

Pimblett concluded by choosing Anderson Silva as his last pick.

"My last one might have to be Anderson Silva, to be honest, even though towards the end of his career, he ruined it a little bit," he added. "If it's a UFC one and I have to take Fedor, I have to take Jon Jones, GSP and Anderson Silva."

Jones, St-Pierre and Silva all won UFC titles during their legendary careers.

Jones, who's still active in the UFC, reigned over the light-heavyweight division before becoming a two-weight UFC champion after beating Ciryl Gane to win the UFC heavyweight title.

St-Pierre also captured two UFC championships in two weight classes as he dominated the welterweight division before submitting Michael Bisping to claim the UFC middleweight title.

Silva was the UFC middleweight champion at the peak of his powers.

As for Emelianenko, the Russian icon never fought under the UFC banner, but he fought in Pride, where he beat the likes of Antonio Rodrigo Nogueira, Mark Coleman and Mirko Cro Cop.
