Fans have been stunned by a video of UFC superstar Leon Edwards attempting a trick shot.

This weekend, UFC 304 will take place at the Co-op Live arena in Manchester with the likes of Tom Aspinall, Paddy Pimblett, Curtis Blaydes and Bobby Green all in action.

Birmingham fighter Edwards is on the main card as he looks to defend his welterweight championship against Belal Muhammad.

Ahead of the bout, the 32-year-old has left fans speechless after a video of him attempting a trick shot went viral.

As shown in the footage, Edwards was jogging around a park and as he approached the basketball court, a ball was thrown in his direction.

Edwards ran up to the ball and unleashed a left-footed volley through the hoop from around 30 yards away.

Reacting on social media, one fan said: “Wowww... Sometime we have to believe in miracle more than talent.”

Another tweeted: “Not a hope this is real after seeing him in soccer aid.”

A third fan added: “Literally the same editing technique they used for Steph Curry’s marketing a couple years back lmao.”

Someone else wrote: “Is this even real?”

Another fan said: “Knuckleballed a basketball, power in them kicks.”

Edwards faced Muhammad have met before but the fight was cut short after the challenger was forced out due to an eye poke.

Ahead of the rematch, Edwards said: “I was having my way, I feel like I was just getting into the fight, I hurt him in round one, I had him wobbled. I went for a cross-head kick and my finger kind of touched just under his eye.

“The way he was crying, I thought it actually went into his eyeball but it didn’t, it went under his lid. Skill-for-skill, I was the better man, I think it showed in the fight. I was piecing him from Round 1 to the incident happened. I definitely feel like he was looking for a way out.”
