Joe Rogan's staggering earnings from podcast revealed as guest confirms how much people are paid for appearing on show

Rogan's podcast is worth an incredible amount of money.

Joe Rogan's staggering earnings from his podcast have been revealed - while a guest has confirmed how much people earn for appearing on the show.

The podcast, full title 'The Joe Rogan Experience', has been running since December 2009 and is now one of the world's most popular podcasts.

It is streamed exclusively on Spotify, with short clips occasionally published to the podcast's official YouTube channel.

Rogan has interviewed some of the biggest names from the world of sport and beyond, including Mike Tyson, Kanye West, Miley Cyrus and, recently, the now US President-elect Donald Trump.

Last year, he reportedly shot an episode involving controversial inventor Malcolm Bendall to discuss his alleged creation of a plasma technology system. It is claimed that Rogan decided to postpone the episode due to a heated argument and it has never been released, though Rogan himself has never addressed this.

One guest, who appeared on the UFC commentator's show last year, revealed how much guests get paid for appearing on the show. The answer, in his own experience at least, is zero.

Writing on his website, cosmologist Brian Keating recalled: "Arriving at the podcast studio was unlike anything I've experienced.

"You sign a waiver of all rights under the Geneva Convention, and then the wait for Joe begins.

"In case you're wondering, guests are not compensated in any way for their appearance on the JRE."

In 2021, Spotify signed a multi-year exclusive deal with Rogan worth an estimated $250 million, according to the Wall Street Journal. Spotify did not confirm the exact terms of the deal but that the $250m figure was incorrect, as per The Guardian.

According to reports, he earned $100,000 per episode before the latest Spotify terms were announced, with that figure therefore likely to be even higher now. Mount Bonnell claim he pockets around $30 million per year as part of his various deals.

Meanwhile, the common rate for podcast downloads on Spotify reportedly stands at around $20 per 1,000 downloads, although this can differ depending on the type of advertisement. Rogan's podcast is believed to have hit heights of a staggering 190 million downloads per month.
