It is his second term in the White House, after his first administration ran from 2017 to 2021.
Appointment of certain members of President Trump's team at the White House following his re-election have raised eyebrows, such as Tesla and X owner Elon Musk becoming the head of the Department of Government Efficiency.

Another appointment which has caught the eye is that of Karoline Leavitt who since last month has been the White House press secretary, despite being aged just 27.

She has become the youngest person to hold the position and has regularly addressed journalists in the White House who have posed questions to her regarding President Trump's policies.
And Leavitt recently became a topic of discussion on a very recent episode of the Joe Rogan Experience, where the host had to step in and correct his guest regarding the language used when speaking about her.
Adam Curry, who used to work on MTV, appeared on Rogan's podcast and President Trump and Leavitt were a topic of discussion.
Curry was complimentary about Leavitt, describing her as 'fantastic' - but also jokingly referred to her as 'a beaver', which has been used in the past as a slang term for female genitalia.

Rogan was quick to intervene and correct Curry that he ought not to use that language when speaking about Leavitt as it could be deemed offensive.
Curry said: "'Leave it to Beaver, I call her, who's the new press secretary. She's fantastic."
Rogan replied: "I don't think you should say 'Leave it to Beaver'. Cause we're old enough to remember when 'beaver' was a [slang for] vagina."
Curry swiftly apologised and explained the reference is how he remembers her name.
