Dana White admitted he did the improbable and “moved” his son’s birth so it would not clash with a major UFC fight.

White has propelled the UFC to new heights since purchasing the company back in 2001.

And in a recent podcast, the 54-year-old revealed the extent of his dedication to the UFC brand in the past two decades.

Speaking on the Pound 4 Pound Podcast with former UFC champions Henry Cejudo and Kamaru Usman, White revealed that the same day his son, Aiden, was due there was a UFC event headlined by Chuck Liddell scheduled.

Not willing to miss the event, White admitted that he convinced his wife to get a c-section, which changed the timeframe of their son’s birth so that it did not clash with his professional commitments.

“My son Aiden, his due date was Chuck Liddell versus somebody,” White explained. “I moved the date of his birth for the Chuck Liddell fight.

“Yeah, I said ‘that ain’t going to work, we got a big fight coming up. So my wife had a C-section…

“We’re going to have to we’re going to have to get him out of there early ‘cos that works for me.”

Elsewhere in the podcast, Cejudo asked White about Conor McGregor‘s recent comments in which he claimed he had been iced out by the UFC.

The Irishman, who has not competed since 2021, told talkSPORT that he had not heard from the UFC despite having floated multiple dates for a comeback fight.

“I’ve got the [Nate] Diaz trilogy, and that’s what I had said for the Sphere,” he said. “You know, there was cold water put on that in public off the bat and I wasn’t happy with that.

“I need a discussion or conversation because if I’m not getting anything back, I’ll just drift off. So, I hope I can get something in and get dialled in.”

White responded by insisting there was “no lack of communication” between the Irishman and the promotion, adding that since McGregor was already busy promoting his Hollywood debut film ‘Road House’ he did not want to burden the fighter.
