Dana White has raised fresh doubt over Conor McGregor's return to the UFC following several bold claims from the Irish fighter.
Former two-weight UFC champion McGregor, 37, hasn't fought in the octagon for more than four years.
His last fight came at UFC 264 in Las Vegas back in July 2021, where he suffered a broken leg in the first round of his trilogy bout with Dustin Poirier - a loss which took his overall record in MMA to 22-6.
McGregor was expected to make his comeback against Michael Chandler at UFC 303 last year but that fight was cancelled after the 'Notorious' suffered a broken toe in the build-up.

Since then there have been doubts over whether McGregor will ever return to the UFC, despite having two fights left on his current contract.
The matter looked to have been settled earlier this week when the Irishman claimed he'd signed a deal to fight at next year's highly-anticipated White House event after returning to training.

He told Fox News: "It's a done deal, signed, delivered. It ain't a negotiation. It's a done deal, signed, delivered."

McGregor also claimed that he had negotiated directly with the US government over his return, rather than the UFC.
White has now rubbished those claims, and insists nothing has been finalised with the White House event - although he promises it will feature the "greatest card of all time".
"We are still talking about the production and how everything is going to work at the White House," said White, speaking after UFC 320 in Las Vegas.
"We have not started negotiating any fights for the White House yet, that won't start until February.

"Conor wants to fight on that card, and you can clearly see Conor is very fired up to fight on that card.
"But nothing is done yet, and no fights are being negotiated with the White House."
McGregor immediately responded with a post on X: "I am motivated beyond belief, now discipline."

Who could fight on the White House card?
While McGregor's next fight is yet to be confirmed by White, his return at the White House event - which is yet to have a date - is still widely expected.

Chandler has been tipped as a potential opponent following the collapse of their fight in 2024, while Tony Ferguson has also been mentioned as a possible fight by Chael Sonnen.
Former UFC heavyweight Jon Jones has expressed interest in returning and fighting on the card, and has re-entered the drug-testing pool. However, White has played down his chances of featuring, citing concerns over his reliability.
Colby Covington, a vocal supporter of US President Donald Trump, has said he 'deserves' to be on the card. Meanwhile, a number of other high-profile names have been linked to the event including Khamzat Chimaev and Paddy Pimblett.
However, no fights have been officially announced by the UFC.
