Conor McGregor launches X-rated rant at UFC 302 fighter in controversial now-deleted posts

Conor McGregor hit out on social media ahead of UFC 302.

Conor McGregor lost his head and savaged Islam Makhachev after spotting his suspected staph infection ahead of his fight against Dustin Poirier at UFC 302.

Makhachev is set to defend his UFC lightweight title against Poirier in the main-event of UFC 302.

Pictures were taken of the UFC 302 main-eventers ahead of their showdown at the Prudential Center in Newark, New Jersey.

And McGregor noticed Makhachev's staph infection on his leg as he brutally hit out at the UFC champion on social media in TWO now-deleted tweets.

The Irishman quote-tweeted a post about the Dagestan star's staph infection, accompanied with the caption: "Staph again. This inbred however lives with Staph. This team is infested, make no mistake. Scruff balls. Whatever ya’s are into, I suppose. He still subs Dustin in the 1st."

In another post, the 'Notorious' added: "Yous absolute scruffy f**ks I’m sick of yous. Wash your f**king self! Wash your clothes! Wash your mats! And do it f**king everyday you scruffy c*nts."

Both tweets have since been removed from X.

So, McGregor is now predicting a victory for Makhachev, having sided with his former foe in a previous interview.

The returning UFC legend backed 'The Diamond' to win by knockout when he gave his original prediction for the UFC 302 bout.

"You know, I think Dustin can do him," he said. “I think Dustin does him, knocks him out.

"I think the things that Makhachev does wrong, the things he’s not good at? He fumbles over his feet, usually early on and falls into shots. He’s been knocked out by that back check hook from a southpaw before inside the UFC.

"That’s one of Dustin’s best shots! If Dustin’s ever going to do it, this will be his time. Obviously Dustin does his things bad also that feed into Makhachev’s strengths. But it is all to play for, there is no clear favourite in it."

McGregor's return is scheduled for June 29 as he takes on Michael Chandler.

A win at UFC 303 could set up a clash against the winner of Makhachev vs. Poirier.
