PFL brutally react to British fighter being cut by Dana White after UFC 304 win

PFL brutally react to British fighter being cut by Dana White after UFC 304 win

PFL chief Ray Sefo has reacted to Muhammad Mokaev being a free agent following his UFC release.

Professional Fighters League president Ray Sefo has reacted to Muhammad Mokaev being released by Dana White following his big win at UFC 304.

Mokaev was cut from the UFC despite securing the biggest win of his budding career against Manel Kape at UFC 304 in Manchester, England, last weekend.

Conor McGregor shared a short and blunt four-word message on social media in response to the British fighter departing the UFC.

But former UFC bantamweight champion Aljamain Sterling called out White's decision to let Mokaev leave the promotion, calling it 'f**ked up'.

When White axed Mokaev from the UFC, he referenced PFL, saying; "I think the PFL is gonna get a great undefeated guy. Good luck to him."

However, Sefo isn't lining up a move for the unbeaten flyweight even though he's a free agent.

Asked if he was interested in signing the Wigan-raised fighter, the PFL boss replied: “No, actually... I’ve spoken to people that are in the know, and apparently, he’s just a pain in the ass to deal with.

"So no, we’re not interested."

Mokaev left the UFC having won seven fights inside the famed Octagon.

He still hopes White re-signs him to a new UFC deal despite being cut after UFC 304.

"My dream is to become UFC Champion," he wrote on X. "I turn them all down because UFC gave me the platform to put my name out there and earn money to feed my family! Btw PFL don’t have flyweight division.

"All these journalists that make this sh*t up are idiots! I hope Dana resigns me, this is my dream to become champion!"

Mokaev, still only 24, boasts a pro MMA record of 13-0 (1).

With PFL out of the running to sign the talent fighter, that leaves the likes of ONE Championship and OKTAGON MMA that could potentially acquire his services.
