UFC Star Asked 'Creepy' Question at Presser as Reporter Faces Call to Be Fired

Mackenzie Dern was asked a 'creepy' question at the UFC 321 media day.

Mackenzie Dern laughed as she answered a 'creepy' question ahead of her title fight at UFC 321.

Before Tom Aspinall defends his UFC heavyweight title against Ciryl Gane, Dern and Virna Jandiroba challenge for the vacant UFC women's strawweight title after Zhang Weili left the division.

It's Dern's first shot at UFC gold as she looks to extend her two-fight winning streak.

Dern, who already boasts a victory over Jandiroba, spoke to the press at Wednesday's UFC 321 media day, where she revealed her thoughts and feelings heading into her maiden UFC title bout.

She was also asked about her 'good looks' and squat routine in a bizarre moment.

"UFC fans like you not just for your aggressive nature and your fighting style in the Octagon, but also your good looks," the question began.

"So, the question is how many times a week do you squat and what’s your squatting weight?"

Dern laughed before answering the question, revealing her squat routine.

"I do like a lot of repetitions of squats. But not too heavy, of course," she explained. "When I get in fight camp, I go heavier, but usually it's like every single day. I squat Monday through Saturday... and like 60/70lbs... I do sumo squats. A lot of repetitions. I work a lot."

The squat comment happened to be the final question of Dern's media session as UFC fans hit out at the reporter, who faced calls to be fired for his inappropriate question.

One X user wrote: "Reminds me of 17 year old me shooting my shot by trying to give a compliment, but the 2 minute rant comes out CREEPY AF!"

A second added: "I don’t wanna be a Karen or anything, but that guy should be jobless immediately."

A third said: "UFC is letting losers ask creepy questions."

Dern, who made her UFC debut in May 2018, is on a two-fight winning streak as she aims to become a UFC champion at UFC 321.
