Joshua Culibao has fought back from an excruciating time-out to defeat Melsik Baghdasaryan at UFC 284.

The Australian got rocked in the first round with a spinning heel kick to the nether regions that forced a time-out.

Culibao was in serious pain as attempted to regain his breath, as the Perth crowd hoped the Aussie would be okay to continue.

And to the delight of the audience, the featherweight proved he had guts and his, ahem, huge nuts, to continue on.

Two minutes into the second round Culibao caught Baghdasaryan flush before he caught the Armenian in a rear naked choke to finish the fight in decisive fashion.

It was an impressive comeback for the Australian who brought the home crowd to their feet.

Following the fight he was asked whether he was worried about his downstairs area before he decided to continue the fight.

He replied: “You got to figure out if they’re still there, you know.”

Brilliant.

It makes for three straight wins for Culibao and his first submission victory.
