Francis Ngannou's head coach gave a moving and inspirational talk before the final round that he won against Ciryl Gane at UFC 270.
Both fighters headed into the final round of their UFC heavyweight championship fight two rounds apiece, per to two of three judges.
Ngannou, who had won the previous two rounds after dropping the first round rounds - on two judges' scorecards, produced a monumental effort to win the last five minutes of the bout.
He was aided by Eric Nicksick who delivered a rousing speech seconds before his fighter went out for the final round at UFC 270.
Nicksick said: "I believe in you motherf**ker. Okay. We've been through so much sh*t together.
"This is you. Do you understand me? This is you kid. Let's go. Pull it off."
Ariel Helwani shed light on Nicksick's brilliant speech, with the Xtreme Couture coach reacting to his own message to Ngannou.
He tweeted: "Thank you, Ariel! And you’re right, I knew he’d pull it out. I have an unwavering belief in this man’s heart, I just wanted to remind him."
Nicksick has guided Ngannou's career since the UFC star relocated to Las Vegas.
His victory over Gane saw him record his sixth win in a row.
On Gane, the 35-year-old said: "I knew that he’s going to be a tough opponent.
"No doubt. He was very good. The only thing that I had to do and my coaches were reminding me all the time, stay composed, calm down, don’t chase him, trust yourself and we get it."
Meanwhile, Ngannou is involved in a complicated situation with the UFC regarding his deal.
The champion's clause in his contract means he owes the promotion another fight, unless he sits out until December 2022 to wait for the deal to expire.
