One brave yet extremely idiotic man got what he deserved after publicly humiliating Dustin Poirier.
The former UFC interim champion was attending a Mardi Gras parade with his family when a bloke decided to insult the MMA star's wife for no reason.
As Poirier, his wife Jolie and daughter Parker rode a float through their home state of Louisiana, a guy walked up to them and held up a big sign.

On the cardboard cut-out read the words: “HEY DUSTIN, YOUR WIFE’S IN MY DM’S.”
The quote is a direct reference to Conor McGregor's relentless trash-talk after he snapped his leg at UFC 264.
Upon seeing the message on the sign, Poirier reacted by calling the guy closer.

Stupidly, the man agreed and he almost got slapped as the UFC fan favourite narrowly missed.
Poirier wasn't done there though, because as his float stopped in the road, he attempted to get out and confront the man before his wife held him back.
As the car drove off, the bloke even gave Poirier the finger.
Classy guy.

Regardless of who it is, celebrity or not, to insult someone right in front of their family is bang out of order.
And it seems the stunt didn't' go down too well on social media either as fans leapt to Poirier's defence.
In the comments section of Spinnin Backfist's post, one person replied: "What a loser, Dustin is one of the most likeable fighters out there."
As another said: "Old dude lucky Dustin ain’t get off that truck cause he’d be on life support right now."

While one added: "Not sure how the internet has led people to believe they can say whatever they want to someone with zero repercussions."
And a fourth chimed in, saying: "I think of all people in the world, Dustin would be the last person to piss off. This dude can send anyone to the shadow realm real quick."
Poirier hasn't fought since his win over Michael Chandler at UFC 281 in November 2022.

And with Chandler now joining McGregor as a coach on The Ultimate Fighter, questions have been raised as to who Poirier will scrap with next.
There was talks that he could challenge for the lightweight title next, although even Poirier himself admitted Beneil Dariush should be next in line.
Taking to Twitter, Poirier asked: “What’s next In the lightweight division?”
Umar Nurmagomedov, Islam Makhachev's cousin, replied: “Benil vs Islam.”
Dariush was quick to respond, saying “Wooah! Respect to Umar.”
To which Poirier added: “I don’t disagree.”
