Excitement is building among Formula One fans as the release date for F1 Manager 2022 edges closer.
The highly anticipated game, which allows players to take on the role of an F1 Team Principal, is set to launch on August 25 on PC, PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X|S and Xbox One.
Similarly to other management games such as Football Manager, players will be able to control their teams in incredible detail, with recruitment, scouting, car development, technology upgrades and financial management part of the game.

Frontier Developments and Formula One released a new gameplay trailer of F1 Manager 2022 on Tuesday. Check it out below:
"In F1 Manager 2022, you take on the role of Team Principle. The Team Principal is really at the heart of a Formula One constructer team," explained Game Director, Andy Fletcher.
"Management games are all about making key decisions that have a meaningful impact and that really rings true to the role of Team Principle."

Legendary former Formula One Team Principal Ross Brawn added: "I think for the fans, playing this game is going to be a fascinating insight into a different side of Formula One.
"We all think of the drivers and I think even the engineers have a reasonable profile.
"But I think through the game you’re going to understand all the work that needs to be done to build the relationship between the drivers, the engineers, the factories, so that everyone knows what they're supposed to be doing.

Fans have reacted positively to the new game play trailer, although some have questioned why the release date for the game is midway through the ongoing Formula One season.
"Been looking forward to this, shame it’s at the very end of summer though," wrote one fan on YouTube.

A third wrote: "Awesome can't wait."
