Wrexham owner Ryan Reynolds is about to swap the glitz and glamour of Hollywood for the sleepy village of Marford after he splashed £1.5 million on a new four-bed property in the UK.
The 46-year-old Canadian-American actor bought National League side Wrexham with Rob McElhenney in 2021 after taking 100 per cent control of the Welsh club from the Wrexham Supporters Trust (WST).
Reynolds and McElhenney, who regularly attend home games at The Racecourse Ground, have since invested a further £10 million into the fifth tier side as they battle for Football League promotion.

And now, the Deadpool actor is reportedly set to move to the UK with his wife Blake Lively and their four children.
Reynolds' new home is rumoured to be a five-mile drive from Wrexham's home ground, with the picturesque village of Marford only having two pubs –– the Red Lion and the Trevor Arms.
In terms of a local shop, there is only one Co-op in the village that has a population of 2,500.

Marford may not be a big name hot spot for Hollywood stars, but locals are said to be delighted about the reported move of Reynolds, who has a reported net worth of $350 million (£281 million).
One local told the Daily Mail: "It's fantastic news that he's chosen Marford as a place to live.
"What he and Rob [McElhenney] have put into Wrexham, both the football club and the local community, has been incredible.
"They've been a force for good over these last two years. I think they both have a genuine fondness for the club and the area and it's certainly reciprocated. Ryan is a bit like his character in Deadpool, very deadpan.

They added: "I like that. He doesn't take himself very seriously and he's been criticised for taking on Wrexham by other rival supporters but he never snaps or gets heated. He deals with it all with humour - and that's the best way."
Other residents of Marford have also reacted to the news.

Wayne Jones, who is the landlord of Wrexham pub the Turf Hotel, said it would be "brilliant" if Reynolds bought a house in Wales.
"I've never, ever doubted that they're both massively committed anyway," Mr Jones told The Sun. "But, it's just another feather in the cap of these guys. They are just wonderful human beings aren't they?"
He added: "I messaged them both last night and said: 'You need to realise and take a little bit of appreciation of what you guys have done for the area'.
"So if he has there'll be some happy faces in that neighbourhood."
