A fan jumped into the Argentina team bus during the World Cup victory parade in the streets of Buenos Aires.

After Sunday’s dramatic final in Qatar which saw Argentina race to the 2-0 half-time lead before being pegged back in the last 10 minutes by Kylian Mbappe’s brace.

Argentina eventually got their hands on the trophy after a tense and dramatic penalty shootout, the South American champions ended up winning 4-2.

On Tuesday, the team returned to Argentina’s capital Buenos Aires as they look to parade the trophy for the millions of people who lined the streets to welcome their heroes home.

However, one brave individual was willing to risk anything to get closer to the players. You can watch the footage below.

As the bus approached, the fan, who was seen on a bridge above the bus, decided to jump into the open-top vehicle that was carrying the Argentina players.

Fans were quick to react to the fan’s action.

One said: “My sources tell me it’s a Ronaldo fan trying to steal the World Cup for him.”

Another tweeted: “I think it’s time for them to reconsider these seats.”

A third fan added: “Ronaldo trying hard to steal the world cup.”

The World Cup final was a truly nail-biting spectacle, Argentina manager Lionel Scaloni said: “I cannot believe that we have suffered so much in a perfect game. Unbelievable, but this team responds to everything.

“I am proud of the work they did. It is an exciting group. With the blows we received today, with the draws, this makes you emotional. I want to tell people to enjoy it, it's a historic moment for our country.”

Whilst goalkeeper Emiliano Martinez, who saved a penalty in the shootout said: "There could not have been a World Cup that I have dreamed of like this. I was calm during the penalties."
