Women's World Cup hero Olga Carmona was told after the final against England that had father had sadly passed away.
The 23-year-old scored the only goal of the game in Sunday's final as she fired home a low strike in the 29th minute.
Her goal proved to be the match-winner as Spain beat England to win the Women's World Cup.

But following the match, the Real Madrid star was informed of the death of her father, who had been fighting a long illness.
The Spanish Football Association took to social media to express their sympathy: "The RFEF deeply regrets to announce the death of Olga Carmona's father.
"The footballer learned the sad news after the World Cup final.

"We send our most sincere embrace to Olga and her family in a moment of deep sorrow. We love you, Olga, you are Spanish soccer history."
Carmona paid tribute to her father with a touching post on social media.
"And without knowing it, I had my star before the game started. I know that you have given me the strength to achieve something unique," she tweeted, accompanied with a picture of her kissing the winners' medal.

"I know you have been watching me tonight and that you are proud of me. Rest in peace dad."
According to Spanish outlet Relevo, Carmona's family and friends decided not to tell her before the final so she could focus on the showdown against the Lionesses.
Her mother and brothers arrived in Australia on Saturday to support her.
Carmona started five of Spain's seven matches at the Women's Women Cup and also scored a dramatic winner against Sweden in the semi-finals.
