Wrexham dropped a massive transfer hint in a social media post.

Wrexham have dropped a massive transfer hint in a social media post.

The Welsh outfit secured their spot in League One next term after finishing second in League Two last season.

And as Wrexham rise through the leagues, having secured two consecutive promotions, they are eager to bolster their ranks.

In the past few days, midfielder George Evans has signed a new two-year contract, while the Mirror claim the club have registered an interest in Hull City forward Ryan Longman

And Wrexham have now hinted on social media they are set to announce some transfer business at 2pm on Tuesday.

On both Facebook and Instagram, Wexham posted a picture of a printer branding onto a sheet of paper: “Wrexham contract printer HP smart tank is going live. Tune in at 2pm UK time.”

Fans were quick to speculate who the potential incoming might be.

One person on Instagram wrote: “Max on a new contract. Or is it a new player…”

Another boldly predicted: “Joe Morrell from Portsmouth.”

Meanwhile, some have ambitiously suggested the club could be on the cusp of signing Wales, Tottenham and Real Madrid legend Gareth Bale.

A person on Facebook wrote: “Bale has entered the building”, while another posted a GIF of the retired attacker.

Wrexham owner Rob McElhenney has previously tried to coax the former Real star out of retirement via social media.

Bale stepped away from football in January last year as his country's record men's goalscorer, after helping Wales to a first World Cup appearance in 64 years.
