Former Real Madrid star Keylor Navas reportedly offered himself to the club during the summer transfer window.
Heading into the start of the 23/24 season, Madrid were hit with a major injury blow after goalkeeper Thibaut Courtois suffered an ACL injury back in August.
The injury is set to keep the goalkeeper out beyond the end of the current campaign as he reportedly ruled himself out of next summer’s Euro 2024 tournament.
Courtois told Belgian outlet Sporza: “Due to the injury, there will be no European championships for me anyway.

“If I’m lucky, I can play another match in May. But then you can never be 100 per cent ready for a big tournament.”
Now, according to Spanish news outlet Marca, Navas offered himself to Los Blancos on the back of Courtois’ injury.
The report claimed that the Costa Rican wanted to return to Madrid but was rejected, with the La Liga giants opting to sign Chelsea goalkeeper Kepa Arrizabalaga on loan instead.
Navas is currently the third-choice goalkeeper at French Ligue 1 giants Paris Saint Germain, behind the likes of Gianluigi Donnarumma and Arnau Tenas.

With the January transfer window on the horizon, it is believed that Navas could offer himself to other clubs in a bid to receive more playing time.
Navas first joined Madrid back in 2014 when the club triggered a reported €10 million buyout clause in his Levante contract.
The Costa Rica international went on to make 162 appearances for Madrid, winning one La Liga title, three Champions League trophies, one Supercopa de Espana, two UEFA Super Cups and four FIFA Club World Cups.

After Madrid, Navas signed for PSG on a four-year deal in 2019. Going on to lift two Ligue 1 titles and played in the Champions League final defeat against Bayern Munich during the 19/20 season.
More recently, Navas signed for Premier League side Nottingham Forest, playing a part in their successful battle against relegation.
