Mohamed Salah’s agent has issued a public statement after reports surfaced linking the Liverpool legend with a move to Turkish side Fenerbahce.

Salah is currently preparing for the World Cup with Egypt, but this has not prevented speculation about his next club, with the forward’s Liverpool contract set to expire at the end of June.

Since his Liverpool exit was confirmed, the 33-year-old has been linked with moves to Saudi Arabia, although it is unclear whether any formal approaches have been made.

Meanwhile, re-elected Fenerbahce club president Aziz Yıldırım suggested that the Turkish side would make a move for Salah, telling reporters: "He would ask for a three-year contract, and the total cost would be €90 million. If he is our urgent need, we will sign him! Our football committee will decide on these matters."

Alongside the links with a move to Turkey, Egypt goalkeeper Ahmed El-Shenway added fuel to rumours of Salah making an unprecedented U-turn, suggesting he may stay at Liverpool following Arne Slot’s sacking.

“He spent a long time there. He got used to the club, gave them everything, lived many happy moments there, won a lot of trophies,” the goalkeeper told Egyptian broadcaster ON Sport.

“Naturally, leaving would affect him. That’s normal.

“But who knows? Maybe things could still change and he could stay. Nobody knows.

“He said exactly: ‘Honestly, I still don’t know.’ That’s what he told me. So I really don’t know where he’ll go. He hasn’t made a decision yet.”

Of course, Salah and Slot did not always see eye to eye during their time together at Anfield, with the forward speaking out against the Dutchman several times throughout his final season on Merseyside.

Just days before Slot’s sacking, Salah called for a return to the “heavy metal football” of his predecessor, Jurgen Klopp, which many interpreted as a parting dig towards the former Feyenoord boss.

Salah's agent issues statement on future

Amid the many rumours and reports about Salah’s future, the player’s agent has issued a public statement.

Posting on X, Ramy Abbas Issa wrote: “Mohamed is doing perfectly fine and neither he nor I prefer to discuss sensitive future plans with people not involved in them. Both he and I are very private about these things. Yes, people may ask and they may get a standard polite response, but that’s about it.”

Several of Salah’s former Liverpool teammates are also being linked with moves away from Anfield, as Curtis Jones, Cody Gakpo and Federico Chiesa’s futures remain uncertain.

Andrew Robertson and Ibrahima Konate’s exits have already been confirmed, while the Reds continue to be linked with a number of new signings, such as Yan Diomande, Lee Han-beom, as well as Alex Scott, Rayan, Adrien Truffert and Eli Junior Kroupi.
