Barcelona’s plan for Mason Greenwood has reported been outlined.
In August, it was confirmed that Greenwood and United have mutually agreed that the 22-year-old would continue his career away from Old Trafford.
On transfer deadline day, Greenwood confirmed a loan move to Spanish La Liga side Getafe for the 23/24 season.

In recent weeks, it has been reported that La Liga giants Barcelona are interested in bringing Greenwood to the club.
This comes after The Express reported that Getafe have had a bid of £40 million for Greenwood rejected by the Old Trafford club.
According to The Sun, the Catalan club are determined to sign the English forward.
A source told the publication: “Barcelona are hugely interested in Greenwood, and are determined to bring him in.

“Right now, they are leading the race and are at the front of the queue. Scouts have watched Greenwood and have been tasked with deciding if he fits in with Barcelona’s style of play.”
“The overwhelming view is that he does, and that he would be a strong addition to the squad.”
The source added: “Mason has settled in Spain and would be happy to stay there. And, of course, when a club like Barcelona comes calling you listen to what they have to say.
“For Mason it could be a career-changing move and having spent so long out of the game he is keen to make the most of all the new opportunities that now come his way.”

Another source stated: “Mason has done brilliantly since he moved to Spain and is really catching the eye after a strong start to his time at Getafe.
“There are a number of clubs looking at him in Spain with scouts from Valencia and Sociedad seemingly at the front of the queue.
“It is highly unlikely Mason will return to Manchester United. That ship has sailed, and he looks set to enjoy the next phase of his career in Spain where he has really settled and found his feet both personally and professionally.”
