Manchester City are yet to make a signing this summer, but have joined Liverpool in the race to acquire one of the Premier League's most exciting attacking talents.
City won the Premier League title once again last season as Pep Guardiola oversaw a fourth top flight crown in a row at the Etihad Stadium.
The season ended in slight disappointment after City were unable to successfully defend their Treble, having been knocked out of the Champions League at the semi-final stage to eventual winners Real Madrid, and losing the FA Cup final 2-1 at Wembley to cross town rivals Manchester United.
City are yet to add to their ranks so far this summer, but have been active in the market in terms of outgoings and selling academy products in particular.

Defender Taylor Harwood-Bellis has completed a reported £20m move to Southampton following a successful loan spell in which the Saints secured promotion back to the Premier League.
Tommy Doyle has also moved to Wolves for more than £4m, while central midfielder Lewis Fiorini has made the switch to League One outfit Stockport County.
Though City are yet to bring in any fresh faces, reports claim they may be set to rival Liverpool and their new boss Arne Slot in the transfer market for one of the attacking stars in the Premier League last season.

According to Football Insider, City have joined Liverpool in the race for Newcastle United and England attacker Anthony Gordon.
The 23-year-old flourished last season at Eddie Howe's side, scoring 12 goals in 48 games and earning a call-up to Gareth Southgate's Three Lions and a place in this summer's squad for Euro 2024.
Gordon is under contract at St James' Park until the summer of 2026, the Magpies having signed him from Everton in January 2023 for an initial £40m.
It had previously been suggested Liverpool were interested in signing Gordon, but that cooled when Newcastle had wanted young Reds defender Jarell Quansah to head to the North East as part of the deal, which the Anfield side was not keen on.

And City have now entered the race for Gordon amid the suggestion the champions could listen to offers for Jack Grealish after a disappointing season for the former Aston Villa man.
Where Gordon will end up playing his football next season remains to be seen, but he is certainly not short of options.
