Fiorentina have rejected Manchester United's approach for Sofyan Amrabat, it has been claimed.
It had been widely reported that United were attempting to structure a deal for Amrabat with the club’s financial fair play parameters in mind.
United have been linked with the 27-year-old all summer and are said to be attempting to agree a loan deal for the player.

And while Amrabat is said to be keen on a move to Old Trafford, a permanent deal ahead of Friday's deadline has been deemed unlikely because of United’s financial fair play situation.
Amrabat only has a year left on his current deal with the Serie A club but there is an option to extend by a further 12 months.
Having honed their focus on Amrabat United made an offer for the player on Wednesday that was swiftly turned down.
And with details of the approach emerging, it is easy to see why Fiorentina snubbed Man Utd's opening bid.

According to the Athletic's James Horncastle, United offered €2million to take Amrabat on loan, that would be payable in two €1million instalments.
However the offer also included a break clause, effective in January, that would become active prior to second instalment.
In that scenario Fiorentina would only be guaranteed a "derisory" €1million, as per the journalist.

Talks between the two clubs will reportedly continue ahead of Friday's deadline.
United have considered several defensive midfield options this summer, including Bayern Munich’s Ryan Gravenberch, who played under Erik ten Hag at Ajax.
But the Athletic claimed that there has so far been no progress in regard to the Dutch international, with Liverpool also interested.
It has also been widely reported that United approached Tottenham this week in the hope of luring defensive midfielder Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg to Old Trafford.

Elsewhere United are in the process of finalising Dean Henderson's departure to Crystal Palace, with Fenerbahce’s Altay Bayindir set to come in as a replacement. Moreover United are in talks with Chelsea over a move for Marc Cucurella.
