Man Utd fans furious with club's 'asking price' for Alejandro Garnacho amid interest from two European giants

Man Utd fans furious with club's 'asking price' for Alejandro Garnacho amid interest from two European giants

Alejandro Garnacho is reportedly wanted by two huge European clubs.

Manchester United fans are furious with the club's reported asking price for Alejandro Garnacho amid interest from two massive European sides.

Garnacho played 50 games across all competitions last season, scoring 10 goals as he enhanced his budding reputation.

He's played 10 matches this season but most of his appearances have come off the bench.

His lack of game-time has led to claims of a row with Erik ten Hag as the player's recent social media activity made their interesting reading.

His situation has put not one but TWO European giants on red alert.

According to The Sun, Barcelona and Juventus are 'tracking the situation' ahead of potentially tabling a bid in the summer.

The report adds Man United have valued their youngster at £50 million.

But the asking price has stunned fans on social media as they are angry with the fee, claiming the 20-year-old is worth way more in this market.

One X user wrote: "As if 50 would be enough, legit he’s a 75M minimum player. And with his age, probably closer to 85."

A second said: "What ???? Only 50 million ??"

A third stated: "Garnacho is more than 50M."

A fourth commented: "50 million. Yeah right."

Another joked: "50m? What’s that for a loan deal."

£50 million does seem a tad low considering what Garnacho has already done for Man United and his potential, given his age.

The winger joined Man United's youth team from Atletico Madrid for £420,000 in October 2020.

He starred in the youth academy before graduating to the first-team, where he has played 96 games, scoring 19 goals.

Garnacho started Man United's crushing 3-0 home defeat to Tottenham last weekend and came off the bench against Porto in the Europa League.

It remains to be seen whether he will return to the starting XI when his side resume their Premier League campaign against Aston Villa.
