Manchester United are reportedly interested in signing a former Manchester City star who was 'fast-tracked' by Pep Guardiola.
It has been a campaign to forget so far for United as they failed to build on last season's FA Cup triumph under Erik ten Hag.
Dutchman Ten Hag was replaced by Ruben Amorim in November but the Portuguese has so far struggled to fully implement his playing style.

At the moment, United are 13th in the Premier League table, 33 points behind leaders Liverpool.
However, the Red Devils do have the chance to qualify for the Champions League by winning this season's Europa League. Amorim's men will next take on French side Lyon in the quarter-finals.
Looking ahead to the summer, it has been claimed that United are showing interest in Borussia Dortmund star Felix Nmecha.

As reported by the Daily Mail, United have made a 'sudden move' for the 24-year-old.
According to German news outlet BILD, United are chasing a potential summer move for Nmecha, who is rated at around £40 million.
However, it has been suggested that Dortmund see Nmecha as an important part of their future and will be reluctant to part ways with the German midfielder.

Nmecha came through the ranks at City and was named in the squad by Guardiola for the Blues' Champions League match against Hoffenheim.
Just a month later, Nmecha made his first team debut when he was brought on during City's 2-1 win over Burton Albion in the EFL Club.
In the summer of 2023, Nmecha joined Dortmund by signing a five-year deal.
Since then, the midfielder has made 56 appearances for the club, scoring five goals.

On the international stage, Nmecha has so far earned five Germany caps, scoring one goal in the process.
Nmecha was overlooked by Julian Nagelsmann due to injury as Germany take on Italy in the quarter final of the Nations League this week.
