Liverpool are not considering a verbal approach from Saudi Pro League side Al Hilal for Luis Diaz, according to Fabrizio Romano - and their future transfer stance has been made clear.
Reports claimed on Tuesday that Al Hilal were preparing an offer worth €50 million for the Colombian forward, with the league having already secured deals for a number of high-profile Premier League players this summer.
The Athletic reported last week that Al Ettifaq have agreed personal terms with Reds captain Jordan Henderson, although the deal is dependent on the two clubs agreeing a fee - something which hasn't yet happened.

And Liverpool are also in talks with Al Ittihad over midfielder Fabinho, with the Saudi club having submitted a £40 million bid. The Brazilian was not included in the Reds squad for the club's pre-season tour.
Even though Jurgen Klopp's side have brought in two midfielders - Alexis Mac Allister and Dominik Szoboszlai - this summer, the departure of both Fabinho and Henderson would mean that the Reds would have to dip back into the transfer market.
Any departure of Diaz would likely result in them having to do the same - and the club's stance on a transfer has been made crystal clear.

Romano gives Luis Diaz Liverpool transfer update
Taking to Twitter, Romano revealed that Liverpool are not considering a verbal approach from Al Hilal for the Colombian, and gave an update on Klopp's plans for the forward next season.
He wrote: "Liverpool have no intention to consider €50 million verbal approach from Al Hilal for Luis Diaz. He's part of Jurgen Klopp long term plans.
"Liverpool want Luis Diaz to stay and be part of the squad this season despite Saudi calls."
Diaz missed a significant period of last season due to a knee injury, which he suffered during a Premier League fixture against Arsenal in October.

The 26-year-old returned in April, scoring a goal in his first start since his comeback against Tottenham.
The remainder of the season saw him work his way back to full fitness, and after a full pre-season, Klopp will be hoping the forward can produce maximum levels of output in the upcoming season.
Whether Al Hilal can test Liverpool's resolve with a greater bid remains to be seen - but at the current fees quoted, the Reds appear to have zero interest in selling.
