Liverpool are reportedly considering a bid for one of the biggest stars of Euro 2024 but face competition from several rival Premier League clubs.
Things are looking good for Liverpool in the early weeks of the new season, with Arne Slot continuing his promising start as manager with a 3-1 win over AC Milan in the Champions League on Tuesday night.
He's now won four of his first five competitive games in charge of the Reds, with the only blip coming in a shock 1-0 defeat to Nottingham Forest in the Premier League on Saturday.

The Reds are currently fourth in the league table, three points behind early leaders Manchester City - who have won all four of their games so far.
But while Slot has a squad packed with quality at Anfield, he is likely to need reinforcements if his side are to challenge the likes of City and Arsenal for the title.
Liverpool made just one senior signing in the summer, with Federico Chiesa joining in a £10m move from Juventus.

However, the Merseyside club are reportedly working on further additions both in January and next summer.
Now, a new report claims Liverpool are working on a sensational bid for Bayern Munich star Jamal Musiala.
The 21-year-old has less than two years remaining on his contract at the Allianz Arena and Bayern may look to sell him next summer, if he fails to commit to a new long-term deal this season.
Football Insider claim Liverpool are considering a formal approach for Musiala, who is valued at around £110m by Transfermarkt.

City, Arsenal and Chelsea are also said to be interested, as are Spanish giants Real Madrid.
Musiala is one of the brightest young talents in European football, having already scored 45 goals in 168 games for Bayern.
The former Chelsea academy star lit up Euro 2024 in his native Germany this summer, finishing joint-top scorer on three goals for the tournament - despite Germany's early exit at the quarter-final stage.

Bayern sporting director Max Eberl recently admitted contract negotiations with the Germany international had proved to be "difficult".
However, speaking to Germany publication Sport1, Eberl said he remained hopeful Musiala would commit his long-term future to Bayern.
"It's difficult, but not impossible – as Jamal knows what he has at Bayern Munich," said Eberl.
"He grew up here and has brought himself to this level. Talks are intensifying. We are extremely ambitious, and he knows that he wants to win titles."
