David Ornstein provided an update on the future of Real Madrid midfielder Aurelien Tchouameni amid interest from Liverpool.
Liverpool appear to have missed out on Brighton's Moises Caicedo, with the midfielder on the verge of completing a Premier League record £115million move to rivals Chelsea.
Indeed, the Reds are seeking midfield reinforcements following the unexpected departures of Jordan Henderson and Fabinho to Al Ettifaq and Al Ittihad respectively, which followed the exits of Naby Keita, James Milner and Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain at the end of last season.

According to Sky Sports News Liverpool agreed a total package of £60million on Sunday night for Southampton's Romeo Lavia, with the 19-year-old also wanted by Chelsea.
And the worry for Jurgen will be that there are indications that Lavia favours a move to the Blues, as per the Guardian.
However, Secret Scout also claimed that Liverpool had made contact with Real Madrid over the possibility of signing Tchouameni and Federico Valverde.
However, Ornstein has poured cold water over suggestions Tchouameni could be making an Anfield switch anytime soon.

Tchouameni to Liverpool?
Writing in the Athletic transfer guru Ornstein explained that Liverpool are among several leading clubs who retain a long-term admiration for Tchouameni.
However, Real reportedly see the midfielder as a key player and would not consider his departure, while the France international has no interest in leaving the La Liga giants.
Tchouameni only joined Real last summer, signing for the club from Monaco in a deal worth more than €100million (£86million). At the time the Reds also tried to purchase the 23-year-old from Monaco but he opted to join the Spanish club instead.

Tchouameni played 90 minutes on Saturday during Real's season opener against Athletic Bilbao.
While Liverpool are desperate for new signings, Klopp was full of praise for Alexis Mac Allister and Dominik Szoboszlai after the pair made their Reds debuts against Chelsea on Sunday.
The German told the BBC: "They are both top. Macca is obviously a really good footballer, which we saw with our first goal. The pass he plays there. In general he's a really smart footballer."
And on Szoboszlai, Klopp added: "Dom is a beast. He played three positions today? I'm not sure, two at least. His biggest strength is shooting and there was one that got blocked so we haven't seen that yet."
