Jack Grealish's actions behind the scenes amid his transfer from Manchester City to Everton speak volumes.
Grealish has been the subject of intense transfer speculation this summer after falling out of favour under Pep Guardiola, who left him out of his squad for the Club World Cup.
The writing was on the wall after being excluded from Man City's Club World Cup squad, with several clubs keeping tabs on him.
But it appears Everton are set to acquire his services ahead of the new season after striking a deal with the Blues.

The clubs have reached an agreement over a loan deal, with a medical completed on Monday.
And it appears Grealish was hellbent on signing for Everton.
According to Sky Sports reporter Alan Myers, Grealish went 'above and beyond' to secure a transfer to the Hill Dickinson Stadium.
On X, Myers wrote: "From what I hear, Jack Grealish has gone 'above and beyond' to make this deal happen, he really wants to join Everton."

The 29-year-old, who joined the Etihad outfit from Aston Villa for £100 million in the summer of 2021, made 32 appearances across all competitions last season - his fewest in a Man City shirt.
Grealish, however, was influential in his side's treble-winning campaign, playing 50 games in the 2022/23 season.
What has David Moyes said about Jack Grealish?
David Moyes has yet to publicly comment on Everton's imminent signing of Grealish but, judging by his words in 2021, he is a big fan.

The attacking midfielder shone at Villa and impressed Moyes, who called him the 'best player in the league' at the time of the glowing praise.
“He is a really good player and probably the best player in the Premier League at this time," Moyes said.
"He has done such a big job at that club (Villa) and is probably the best player in the league right now."
