Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp has already talked up David Raya as Arsenal look to sign the Brentford keeper.
On Sunday it emerged Arsenal are exploring a deal to sign the Spanish international, with Mikel Arteta eager to recruit a goalkeeper to compete alongside current No.1 Aaron Ramsdale for a starting place.
While Brentford are reportedly yet to receive an offer from any team for the striker, they are aware of the Gunners’ interest.

Bundesliga champions Bayern Munich are also pursuing Raya, though they would prefer a loan deal - a stipulation Brentford would only agree to should the 27-year-old extend his contract, which is due to expire next summer.
However, the Athletic claim Raya favours a move to Arsenal, where he would reunite with former Bees goalkeeper coach Inaki Cana.

Raya has been admired by members of the Premier League’s big six for years, with Arsenal having even tried to sign the shot-stopper three summers ago.
Indeed, his performance with his feet in Brentford’s 3-3 draw against Liverpool in September 2021, saw him receive praise from Klopp.
The German said, at the time (via the Boot Room): “The goalkeeper could have the shirt with the number 10. He played a few incredible balls but it was the right thing to do against us.”
The Spaniard is one of the division’s best ball-playing keepers, having spent hours playing futsal with his older brother on a pitch next to their house growing up.

However, he is a decent shot-stopper too. Raya featured in all of Brentford’s in the Premier League last term as his side finished with the fifth-best defensive record in the division, conceding just 46 goals.
