Cristiano Ronaldo could create history by completing never-before-seen transfer for just one month

Cristiano Ronaldo could be snapped up for just one month.

Cristiano Ronaldo could complete a never-before-seen transfer in a deal which would last for just ONE month.

Ronaldo is still going strong and showing no signs of slowing down, having scored an impressive 28 goals in 33 matches for Al Nassr this season.

He's enjoyed an ultra-prolific spell in Saudi Arabia since leaving Manchester United.

But the superstar forward, who turned 40 last month, is out of contract this summer, with his existing deal set to expire on June 30.

That's halfway through this summer's Club World Cup, which takes place in the United States.

Ahead of the Club World Cup, the transfer window has been altered so teams participating in the competition can recruit new players.

Teams will be eligible to sign and register new players between June 1 and June 10 before the Club World Cup starts on June 15.

In a statement, the Premier League said: "Premier League clubs have today agreed the dates for the Summer 2025 Transfer Window.

"The window will open early, between Sunday 1 June and Tuesday 10 June, due to an exceptional registration period relating to the FIFA Club World Cup.

"It will then reopen on Monday 16 June and close on Monday 1 September."

So, Ronaldo could be signed before his contract officially ends and snapped up to a one-month deal just to play in the Club World Cup.

Premier League duo Manchester City and Chelsea are among the English teams set to compete at the Club World Cup.

Ronaldo's former team Real Madrid are also involved, not to mention Bayern Munich, Paris Saint-Germain, Borussia Dortmund, Inter Milan and Atletico Madrid.

Clubs from the Middle East will take part, too, as well as Lionel Messi's Inter Miami, with one team being removed by FIFA.

If Ronaldo was recruited just for the Club World Cup, then he'd reignite his legendary rivalry with Messi following their spell in Spain.

As for clubs not going to the Club World Cup, they can sign players from June 16 until September 1.
